I like a man who is honest. Manipulative or deceitful is not honest. Hard to imagine how a relationship could last that is based on such behavior. Outright lying will end my interest instantly. I also like men who take initiative, and men who return phone calls and reply to emails. If you do not return my call or email, I will not call/email again. When you don't, what I hear you saying is that you are not interested. It is also rude. A man who answers an email with a terse three line quickie suggests that he is inarticulate. That he artificially suppresses phone or email communication seems to be contradictory to one of the most foundational aspects of a successful relationship: open, honest communication. I like men who answer the questions I ask instead of ignoring them or lying about themselves. I like men who truly want equality in our relationship. That means not insisting on equality only when it suits them, or using double standards. When I ask a man for a date, he is my guest and I should pay. It is impolite for him to demand to pay half. If he wants to pay for something, he should do the asking. Then I'd be his guest.
